The Omen 666 Trailer: a trailer which i find interesting

the is the omen 666 trailer
settings: the only setting shown in the trailer, is outside in a garden with the little boy damien on a swing. looks very much like an isolated area as theres only one character in the shot as well as the dog giving the effect that hes guarding damien from other people to the right is the image of damien in an isolated area
theres not much to the camera work, its a mis shot the whole way through the trailer exept from at the end its more of a close up to Damian's face, the camera then arcs round damian almostr making it an over the shoulder shot to then a close up to his face. the camera is focusing on damian though out the trailer apart from at the start when you get an establishing shot of the dog, this is when the camera goes from left to right slowly to see damian.
there is no lighting in this image as it looks all natural as it is already quite a dark area.
this trailer also demostrates the idea of iconography of childhood/innocence which relates to common use of binary oppisition. horror often uses the opposite of evil because when you think of this at some level you will thinking of its oppisite because according to the binary oppisition one only makes sence when your awear of the opposite.
narative structure, in this trailer damian, the little boy on the swing is the antagonist, you can tell this because when the camera is focused on his face, theres a slight moment when he pulls a slight smile at the camera gives a sence of evil to the child. this is also confusing the audiance because although its just an innocent little boy smiling at the camera, it is also scary for the audiance because it almost makes you feel sorry for the character, or you may think that something is going to happen but it doesnt. they have done well in the trailer with use of chaaracter because we know that damian is the main antagonist to help us think this they have dressed him in red which shows a sign of eveil as that colour represents death and killer. the themes in this trailer shows the hidden evil inside damien meaning that we know in some way he is evil because of the way he is dressed all in red representing the colour of blood and death. this also relates to the binary oppisition because even though damien looks like a sweet an innocent child he could also be evil.
